Mary Marquardt was an American chef and illustrator, she was best known as Harrison Ford’s first wife. The two were married from 1964 until 1979. Mary Marquardt was born in the USA in 1945.

Mary and Harrison met at university and began a romantic relationship. After a few years of dating, the couple married on June 18, 1964, in a wedding ceremony.

Their first son, Benjamin, was born two years later, and their second son, Willard Ford, was born in 1969. After fifteen years of marriage, Ford and Mary divorced in 1979.

Following her divorce from Ford, Mary continued her career as a chef and worked at her ex-husband Harrison Ford’s Culver City Filling Station.

Mary Marquardt remained close to her sons. Her older son Benjamin Ford chose to become a chef after her, while her younger son Willard Ford went on to become a successful clothier.

Later, it was discovered that she had multiple sclerosis, She retired as a result of the sickness. She was supported by her son, Benjamin Ford, who looked after her.

Mary Marquardt passed away at her home unexpectedly on March 15, 2021. She was 73 years of age.
