Harris English Caddie: Who Is Eric Larson?

Eric Larson, who is currently playing for England, has a fascinating backstory. Larson has been a caddie for golfers who have taken home four PGA Tour victories, including two each for friend Mark Calcavecchia and Anthony Kim, and has assisted Jeff Overton and Kim in qualifying for the Ryder Cup in 2008 and 2010, respectively.

Even though he has been working for English for a while, he was deprived of his freedom for about 11 years.

He thought he played golf well when he moved to Florida in 1979 from Wisconsin. At a club, he ran into Mark Calcavecchia and Ken Green. Realizing he wasn’t as talented as them, he took up their bags. He first caddied for Green, then for Calcavecchia. He decided to sell cocaine because his standard of life was merely adequate.

It began on a modest scale because he had friends in the Midwest who wanted cocaine and connections in South Florida who could give it to them, according to The Caddie Network. Then Larson would make a cut.
