Harriet Pattison, a renowned landscape architect who worked with Louis Kahn, an architect with whom she had a son, on projects like the grounds of the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth and the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial on Roosevelt Island in New York City, passed away on Monday at her home in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. 94 was her age.

Nathaniel Kahn, a filmmaker and her only surviving child, broke the news of her passing. Ms. Pattison’s work at the Kimbell site might be her greatest contribution to landscape architecture.

Over the course of more than 30 years, Ms. Pattison worked as a landscape architect, sometimes alone but frequently in collaboration with other architects she knew thanks to Mr. Kahn. In 2016, Patton, then 87 years old, was elected as a fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).
