Late serial killer Harold Shipman was born to his parents, Vera Shipman and Harold Shipman.

His mother, Vera, was a home maker. She died of lung cancer in 1963. His father, Harold, was a truck driver. He died in 1985.
About Harold Shipman
Harold Shipman was a British doctor who was convicted of the murder of 15 patients under his care, but it is believed that he may have killed up to 250.
Shipman pursued a medical career, attending Leeds School of Medicine and later worked at various hospitals in the UK as far back as the 1970s.

He gained a reputation as a trusted and caring doctor in the community, but his career took a dark turn when he began administering lethal doses of medications to his patients, leading to their death.
Shipman’s crimes came to light in 1998, after almost 25 years of going unnoticed. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2000.
Shipman committed suicide in his prison cell in January 2004.
His remains were taken to the mortuary at the Medico Legal Centre in Sheffield for a post-mortem examination.
Afterwards, he was secretly cremated on 19 March 2005 at Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium, in the presence of his wife, Primrose and their four children.
