Seven-time Wimbledon champion Serena Williams suffered just her third first-round loss at a Grand Slam after she fell to the less fancied French star Harmony Tan.

Williams looked rusty, but her renowned will-power saw her recover from going one set down, to saving a match point in the 12th game of the decider.
However, tried as Williams could, she was unable to prevent the underdog Tan from triumphing in the tiebreak.
The match lasted three hours and 10 minutes, finishing 7-5 1-6 7-6, in favor of Tan.
Surprisingly, Tan was making her main draw debut at Wimbledon, and she was certainly well supported in the crowd….as the saying goes “everyone loves an underdog.”
One young member of Tan’s entourage which particularly caught the attention of viewers on TV.

The young girl’s relation to Tan is unknown, but she was captured passionately cheering the tennis player on throughout the match.
