Seven-time Wimbledon champion Serena Williams suffered just her third first-round loss at a Grand Slam as she fell to French star Harmony Tan.

Though Williams looked rusty, her renowned will-power saw her recover from going one set down, before saving a match point in the 12th game of the decider.
Tried as she could, Williams was unable to prevent the underdog Tan from triumphing in the tiebreak, with the three hour and 10 minute long match finishing 7-5 1-6 7-6.
Surprisingly, Tan was making her main draw debut at Wimbledon, and she was certainly well supported in the crowd….as the saying goes “everyone loves an underdog.”
One young member of Tan’s entourage which particularly caught the attention of viewers on TV.

Is the kid cheering Harmony Tan her child? The young girl’s relation to Tan is unknown, but the girl was passionately cheering the tennis player on throughout the match, before wildly celebrating when Tan clinched victory over the more fancied Serena.
