Hannah Elizabeth Waterman is an actress from England. Her most famous role was Laura Beale in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 2000 to 2004.

Waterman was born in London on July 22, 1975, to actors Dennis Waterman and Patricia Maynard. She went to Norwich High School for Girls, as well as Saint Felix School in Southwold and Putney High School. She is also a University of Warwick graduate.

In February 2000, Waterman was cast as Laura Dunn on the BBC soap opera EastEnders. In 1997, Waterman played an HIV patient on the soap.

Waterman’s mother, Patricia Maynard, appeared in a couple of episodes of EastEnders in 2001 as Laura’s mother, and her one-time stepmother, Rula Lenska, appeared in the series as Frank Butcher’s girlfriend in the Spain episodes in 2002.

In 2006, Hannah Waterman married fellow EastEnders actor Ricky Groves. They divorced in 2014 after splitting up in 2010.
