Who Is Chunli Zhao?

Chunli Zhao is the 67-year old suspect who was arrested for the shooting that occurred in Half Moon Bay California on January 23, 2023.

Zhao is said to be a worker on one of the mushroom farms where he shot seven of his co-workers after a dispute.

The bodies of four of the victims with gunshot wounds were discovered at a nursery “along the 12700 block of San Mateo Road (Highway 92)”, while three other bodies were found at another nursery “along the 2100 block of Cabrillo Highway South”.

Zhao has been arrested and is now in custody of the Police.

Zhao was caught with a semi-automatic handgun, and had allegedly killed three of his victims in the trailers where they resided close to their farmland, and shot two others on the farm.

For San Mateo County Sheriff Christina Corpus, Zhao’s motive for the shooting is yet to be determined.
