Haley Jones Parents: Meet Monique Jones, Patrick Jones

Haley Jones is an American professional basketball player for the Women’s National Basketball Association’s Atlanta Dream (WNBA). Haley Jones was selected by the Atlanta Dream sixth overall in the 2023 WNBA draft.

Haley Jones is the daughter of Monique Jones and Patrick Jones. Haley Jones’ mother Monique and her father, Patrick, were college basketball players. They were the coaches at Santa Cruz High School in California.

Her parents met while coaching basketball at Santa Cruz High School in 1997. Monique and Patrick joined the club in 1997 as basketball coaches and left after 17 years to pursue other opportunities.

Patrick  Jones graduated from Colorado College in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in history and political science. Patrick, Haley’s father, earned his MA in education from the University of California in 1996.

Monique Jones, Haley’s mother, studied accounting at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. She attended California Polytechnic State University after graduating in 1993, where she majored in accounting.

During her undergraduate years, Monique spent three years as an assistant manager at Red Lobster. Her previous positions included Human Resource Manager at B-Bop Associates and Project Manager at Coastek.
