Gus Trikonis, a name less known in Hollywood circles, was once tied to the glittering star, Goldie Hawn.

Their union in 1969 coincided with Hawn’s meteoric rise following her Oscar triumph for “Cactus Flower.” Yet, fame’s fickle nature led them on separate paths, culminating in a split in 1973 and a formal divorce in 1976.
Trikonis, initially a dancer showcased in Elvis Presley’s ’68 comeback spectacle, ventured into acting, gracing screens in shows like “Laugh-In” and films like “Marooned.”

Despite his efforts, his acting pursuits paled against Hawn’s luminance, nudging him towards directing. Regrettably, his directorial dreams faltered, eclipsed by his marriage to Hawn, overshadowing his individual triumphs.
Post-Hawn, Trikonis found solace in a second marriage to costume designer Barbara Andrews in 1978, bearing a son, Nicholas, until Barbara’s demise in 2012.
In essence, Trikonis’ narrative weaves through the dance floors and screens of yesteryears, entwined with the ephemeral glow of Hollywood stardom.
While personal joys blossomed in his second union and fatherhood, his professional ambitions waned, relegated to the shadows of his association with Goldie Hawn.
