Mark Walter is a businessman from the United States who serves as the CEO of Guggenheim Partners.

Guggenheim Partners is a privately held global financial services firm with more than $325 billion in assets under management and offices in Chicago and New York.

Mark Walter was born on 1 January 1960 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is 62 years old.  He is a Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School graduate.

Mark graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He later graduated from Northwestern University with The Juris Doctor degree

In 1996, he co-founded the Liberty Hampshire Company, LLC in Chicago with Steven E. Johnson.

On December 10, 2012, the SportsBusiness Journal named Walter the eighth most influential person in sports business in its annual survey of the “50 Most Influential People in Sports Business,” owing to the historic Dodgers purchase.

He is also a part-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball and a co-owner of Premier League club Chelsea F.C.
