Gregory Martin Itzin was an American film and television character actor best known for his role as Charles Logan in the action thriller series 24.

Itzin was the son of Evelyn Loretta and Martin Joseph Itzin born in Washington, D.C. His family relocated to Burlington, Wisconsin, where his father was mayor when he was in sixth grade.
Itzin’s initial goal was to become a theatre actor, and he trained at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. He appeared on numerous stages across the country

Itzin died at the age of 74 on July 8, 2022. He appeared in several radio plays with The L.A. Theatre Works, most recently as the Archbishop in the 2010 audio production of Saint Joan by the Hollywood Theater of the Ear.
He appeared in Seasons 1-4 of the USA Network series Covert Affairs. He played the Earl of Kent in the Antaeus Company’s production of King Lear in 2010. For this performance, he received the L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award.
