GQ Magazine Honors Wizkid For His Contribution To Music; Calls Him ‘King Of Afropop’ (PHOTOS)

American men’s magazine company, GQ Magazine, has honored Wizkid on their official  website and referred to him as the ‘King of Afropop.’

They gave the Grammy winner a full-page description of how massively he has contributed to music. They stated that the ‘Essence’ hitmaker is the person everyone calls when they need a smash-hit from Africa.

“He’s the guy Drake and Beyoncé call up when they need a continent-spanning smash hit,” they wrote.

The magazine also interviewed Wizkid and asked him about what he was up to while the pandemic hit the world. He shared that he had been spending most of his time in Accra, Ghana.

“I was in Ghana for a two-week holiday and now I’ve been here for six months,” he said.

Wizkid also did a photo shoot with the company at several locations. Fans are hoping to see him cover the next edition’s front page of the reputable magazine company.
