Colleen Howe was well-known as the wife of the late Canadian professional ice hockey player Gordie Howe.

Colleen first met Gordie Howe during the 1951-52 NHL season at a Detroit bowling alley, Lucky Strike Lanes, when Gordie was playing for the Detroit Red Wings.
They tied the knot on April 15, 1953. Through their marriage, the pair were blessed with Mark Howe, Marty Howe, Murray Howe, and Cathy Howe.

Colleen Janet Joffa Howe was a sports agent. She was the founder of Power Play International and Power Play Publications.

She founded it in business interest to manage her husband, Hall of Fame hockey player Gordie Howe, as well as their sons Marty and Mark.
Colleen was one of the founders of the Detroit Junior Red Wings, the first Junior A hockey team in the United States.
She was diagnosed in 2002 with Pick’s disease, an incurable neurological disease that causes dementia, and died on Friday, March 6, 2009, aged 76, in the family home at Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
