Dea died in hospice care at her home in Las Vegas. Plans for a memorial are still being developed. Dea was an only child and had no immediate family.
Magician legend David Copperfield, who befriended Dea in her later years, said Saturday,
“Gloria was amazing. She was charming funny and engaging,” the MGM Grand headliner said. “And in Vegas, as a young magician, she started it all. It was an honour knowing her.”
