American film and tv editor, Glenn Farr has been reported dead by close sources. According to reports, he died from complications from a brain tumor on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at age 77.

One of his most notable works was on the popular Hollywood movie Commando in 1985. He was also the editor of This Is Elvis (1981), The Right Stuff (1983), Runaway (1984), and more.

Some of his contributions to other movies in the 90s include Nothing in Common, The Serpent and the Rainbow, Shattered, Career Opportunities, and more. His last known movie was Akeelah and the Bee in 2006.

Farr was one of the five film editors to win the Academy Award for Best Film during the 56th Academy Award for the film The Right Stuff. He shared his victory with other editors including Lisa Fruchtman, Tom Rolf, Stephen A. Rotter, and Douglas Stewart.
His career in the limelight started in 1972 when he was appointed as the post-production coordinator on Elvis on Tour. He went on to serve as the Assistant Editor of Harry and Tonto in 1974.
