Who Was Giovanni Lodetti?
Giovanni Lodetti was a former football midfielder who played for AC Milan from for 10 seasons in the 1960s.
During his time with AC Milan, he contributed to the team winning the European Cup (now the UEFA Champions League) on two occasions.

Lodetti also helped AC Milan secure Serie A (Italian top division) titles in the 1961-62 and 1967-68 seasons.
In addition Lodetti was part of the AC Milan team that won the Coppa Italia (Italian domestic cup) in the 1966-67 season.
On the international side, Lodetti represented Italy in several international matches, including the 1966 FIFA World Cup in England.
Other clubs he played for include Sampdoria, Foggia, and Novara.
Lodetti retired from the sport in 1978. He died on September 22, 2023, at age 81, after battling a long illness.
