Ginny Newhart has been reported dead by a publicist named Jerry Digney. According to him, she died after a long illness on Sunday, April 27, 2023, in their home in Century City.

She was best known for being the wife of comedian, Bob Newhart. In addition to him, she was survived by their children; Robert Jr., Timothy, Courtney, and Jennifer, as well as their 10 grandchildren.

I was 20, 21, 21, and I think Bob was 32. And every time somebody would sink a ball in the pocket or whatever you’re supposed to do, we’d run around the table our cue stick singing ‘Bridge on the River Kwai,” she said when she was asked about her first encounter with Bob Newhart.

“We didn’t see each other for a while. And then I was working as an extra on a Jerry Lewis movie that I couldn’t tell you the name of, but it was at Paramount. And Bob was doing Hell is for Heroes in 1962. He came to visit me on the set and I wasn’t there. So I went over to his set. he wasn’t there. And we sort of lost touch because he was traveling a lot,” she added.
