Gilberte Goscinny was a french writer best know as the wife of René Goscinny a French comic book editor and writer.

Gilberte Goscinny was born in Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, France in 1943. Gilberte and René Goscinny were married for ten years before René Goscinny died, leaving his partner and one child behind. They had a daughter named Anne who is 54.

Gilberte Goscinny wrote Lucky Luke (1983), Lucky Luke (1991), and Lucky Luke: The Daltons on the Run (1983). She passed away on February 3, 1994, from cancer.

René Goscinny is probably Europe’s best-known writer of humorous comics. He made his mark as co-creator of ‘Astérix’ (1959- ), the world’s bestselling European comic series, second only to Hergé’s ‘Tintin’.
