Georgia and Craig raised eyebrows when they first started dating because she was 21 years his senior.
Georgia admitted to treating Craig ‘like a son’ when the couple appeared on a Baltimore talk show co-hosted by an up-and-coming Oprah Winfrey.
‘I would never have gone out with him,’ she explained, ‘because I wouldn’t go out with anyone three years my junior, let alone 21.’
Craig, on the other hand, was kind to her and eventually persuaded her to give him a chance, resulting in a romance that lasted nearly half a century until her death.

Georgia Holt died on December 10, 2022 at the age of 96. Her death was confirmed by Cher on Twitter.
Her cause of death was not given. However, in September 2022, Cher revealed in a Twitter post that Georgia had been hospitalized with pneumonia and had been suffering from recurring health issues.
