He played a key role in Wales’ Six Nations Grand Slam victories in 2012 and 2019, and he also took home the trophy in 2013. Additionally, North has participated in three World Cup seasons.

When he was just 18 years old, North made his Wales debut in a game against South Africa in Cardiff in 2010. Despite his two tries, Wales fell short of the then-reigning world champions 29-25. In a Six Nations game against England in 2021, he earned his 100th cap for Wales, becoming the youngest player in history to do so.

On April 13, 1992, George North was born in King’s Lynn, England. Josh is his younger brother, and Natalie and Hayley are his two elder sisters.
At Wales U16 level, he played his first rugby as a representative, which required several trips from North Wales to Cardiff. “It meant Papa North driving down once or twice a week, and it can take anything from four and a half to six hours, or maybe more,” he explained.
