George Alagiah Cause of Death

British journalist and newsreader, George Alagiah has been reported dead. According to sources, he died of cancer on Monday, July 24, 2023. He was 67 years old.

The news of his sickness came to light in April 2014 when it was announced that he was being treated for colorectal cancer. The network shared a heartfelt message after several goodwill messages were sent his way.

“He is grateful for all the good wishes he has received thus far and is optimistic for a positive out,” they wrote.

In  June 2014, he announced on Twitter that the treatment was taking a massive improvement, and in October 2015, he shared that the treatment was officially over; going back to his work post November that same year.

Unfortunately, there was bad news in June 2020 as Alagiah shared that the cancer had spread to his lungs, liver, and lymph nodes. He also announced in October 2022 that it has spread further, therefore, he had to take a break from TV to undergo a new series of treatments.
