Agathe Whitehead was the lovely mother of seven of the Trapp Family singers namely Agathe von Trapp, Johanna von Trapp, Martina von Trapp, Werner von Trapp, Rupert von Trapp, Hedwig von Trapp, and Maria Franziska von Trapp.

Agathe Whitehead was born to John Whitehead and Countess Agathe von Breunner-Enckevoirth in Fiume, Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia, Austria-Hungary, on June 14, 1891, and died in Klosterneuburg, Austria, on September 3, 1922, at the age of 31 years, as a result of scarlet fever epidemic.
