Geoff Neal made his amateur debut in 2010, winning by knockout in the second round against Bobby Hernandez.
He competed in 7 amateur matches, finishing with a 6-1 amateur record. Prior to signing with the UFC, Neal competed in ten mixed martial arts matches, winning eight and losing two.

Geoff Neal spent ten years as a server at a Texas Roadhouse in Dallas before his fight with Mike Perry in late 2019. Neal revealed in June 2020 that he had returned to his server job after being unable to schedule fights.
Geoff Neal currently competes in the Welterweight division for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). As of December 6, 2022, he is #7 in the UFC welterweight rankings.
