Gary Harris is a basketball player basketball player who plays the shooting guard position for the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Born on September 14, 1994, in Fishers, Indiana, USA, Harris played high school basketball at Hamilton Southeastern High School, and averaged 18.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.7 steals per game as a junior.
Harris went on to play college basketball for the Michigan State Spartans at Michigan State University.
In his first year, Harris won the Big Ten Freshman of the Year, the first Spartan to win the award since 1986.
He also made it as a second-team All-Big Ten selection, a Big Ten All-Freshman Team honoree, and many other honorable mentions and awards.

In 2014, Harris was drafted by the Chicago Bulls as 19th overall in the NBA draft, after forgoing his remaining two years of college eligibility.
However, he was immediately traded to the Denver Nuggets and then went on to sign a rookie contract with the team.
