Hockey player Garth Snow was born in Wrentham, Massachusetts, in the United States on July 28, 1969. Snow’s professional career lasted from 1994 through 2006.

At the 1987 NHL Entry Draft, the Quebec Nordiques selected Snow in the sixth round out of Mount Saint Charles Academy. He immediately transferred to the University of Maine, where he spent four years and won more games than anyone else for three consecutive seasons.

He was chosen to the All-Tournament team in 1993 after assisting in leading the school to a 42-1-2 record and the NCAA Championship. After playing for the United States national team for the majority of 1993–94, which included competing in the 1994 Winter Olympics, he turned to his professional career, making his NHL debut for the Nordiques in five games.
