Comedian Gareth Richards has died. He died on April 7, 2023, following a car accident. The former co-host of the Frank Skinner Show on Absolute Radio died on Friday after being involved in a crash on March 27.

Richares appeared on such BBC shows as Russell Howard’s Good News, as well as BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 4.

The Frank Skinner Show shared a statement on Twitter after the news was confirmed. It said: “We are heartbroken about the loss of our dear friend, Gareth. We will miss him greatly. Tomorrow we will be releasing a podcast of some of his Best Bits on our show”.

Skinner struggled for words as he told listeners how Richard was fighting for his life after a “very big road accident”. He thought to have been involved in a serious collision on the M25 near Heathrow Airport on March 27.
Police launched an appeal for witnesses after a crash between a lorry and two cars on the motorway between junctions 14 and 15.
