Former Fulham striker Viv Busby has passed away at the age of 74. Busby, who played a pivotal role in Fulham’s journey to the 1975 FA Cup final, died on May 8, 2024. The cause of his death has not been disclosed.

During his time at Fulham, Busby made 143 appearances for the club and scored 37 goals. He notably played in all 12 matches of the 1975 FA Cup competition, contributing six goals to the team’s memorable run to the final.

After his playing career, Busby returned to Craven Cottage in 1999, this time as a coach under manager Paul Bracewell. Prior to his coaching role at Fulham, Busby had coaching stints at Norwich City, Stoke City, and Blackburn.
Fulham Football Club expressed their condolences, highlighting Busby’s induction into the Forever Fulham program in October 2022. The club extended their sympathies to Busby’s wife Barbara, as well as to all his family and friends during this difficult time.
