MacBones changed his nationality before making his professional debut, according to GBA President GBA Abraham Neequaye.
Mr. Neequaye went on to say that Freezy MacBones, whose actual name is Seth Gyimah, approached the GBA for a boxing license but decided to fight as a UK national at the last minute.

Mr. Neequaye told Romeo TV:
“We sent him a message. And they can check it from Freezy himself. Before he fought in the UK, he came to Ghana to get a Ghana Boxing Authority license,”
“He came for our license but when he wanted to fight and they wanted to get a release letter from us, he changed it to fight for the British. He was supposed to come for a release letter from us but he said he wanted to fight as UK national.”

Freezy Macbones worked as a mason in Ghana before relocating to the UK.
His journey has been the typical grass-to-grace narrative, and he’s been rightfully trending on social media after roaring to victory in his second professional battle against Darryl Sharp at London’s Copper Box Arena.
MacBones used a combination of powerful punches and aggression to defeat Sharp by unanimous decision.
MacBones’ aggressiveness has led to comparisons with boxing legend Mike Tyson.
Freezy Macbones will return to the ring on June 16.
