Mary was in on May 10,1912, and had suffered from severe osteoporosis during her lifetime.
Mary was born to Malcolm MacLeod and Mary MacLeod, and grew up amongst her 10 siblings.
Sometime in 1991, she was mugged while shopping on Union Turnpike not far from her home.
In an attempt to struggle with the mugger, she was severely beaten and had her ribs broken, sustained bruises on her face, several fractures, a brain hemorrhage, and a loss of sight and hearing.

The assailant, one Paul LoCasto, 16, was arrested for the robbery and assault, and was sentenced to nine years in prisonment.
