Frankie Montas is a Dominican pro baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees of the MLB.

Born on March 21, 1993, Montas began playing as an amateur free agent in 2009, with the Boston Red Sox, after he signed a $75,000 bonus.

Montas also played in minor leagues for the Gulf Coast Red Sox and Lowell Spinners, as well as the Greenville Drive.

The Red Sox later traded him to the White Sox in 2013 and two years later, Montas made his MLB debut.

After another trade to the Los Angeles Dodgers, Montas was traded again to the Oakland Athletics within the same season.

Montas played as a major league pitcher for the Athletics. So far, he has played with the Chicago White Sox, the Oakland Athletics, and then the New York Yankees with whom he signed a $5.025 million contract.

The Athletics however, traded him to the New York Yankees on August 1, 2022, where he started with 6 runs in 3 innings.
