Frank Vatrano is an American professional ice hockey player with the National Hockey League’s New York Rangers (NHL).

Vatrano scored eight goals for the Boston Jr. Bruins in 2009–10 before joining the US National Development Team Program.
He chose to forgo his senior year in 2014 to pursue a professional career, and on March 12, 2015, he signed a three-year entry-level deal with the Boston Bruins. He signed an amateur tryout deal with the Providence Bruins’ AHL affiliate, making his professional debut to end the 2014–15 season.
Vatrano suffered an unexpected injury to his left foot due to ruptured ligaments at the start of the 2016–17 Boston Bruins season. As a result, Vatrano was unable to participate in the Bruins’ training camp or preseason games while recovering.

His first game for the Bruins in the 2016–17 season occurred against the Florida Panthers on December 22, 2016, and with 2:09 remaining in the second period, Vatrano scored the first Bruins goal on way to a 3–1 road victory.
