Frank Cignetti Sr., an American football player and coach has died at age 84.

He was married to Marlene and they had four children; Frank Cignetti Jr., Curt Cignetti, Lisa Ann Cignetti and Theresa Cignetti.
Lisa Ann and Theresa are very private people and as a result, there’s no information about them.
Lisa Anna and Theresa were hit with the sad news of the death of their beloved father on Sept. 10 and their brothers, Frank Cignetti Jr. and Curt Cignetti took to Twitter to announce his death.

Curt Cignetti, currently the head coach at James Madison, wrote;

Cignetti Sr. served as the head football coach at West Virginia University from 1976 to 1979 and at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, compiling a career college football record of 199–77–1.
Cignetti led the IUP Indians to the title game of the NCAA Division II Football Championship in 1990 and 1993.
He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 2013.
