Francois Guy died tragically on Friday, May 12, 2023, after a sudden fall at his home in Labelle. His death occurred instantly.

His death was made public by his wife, actress, Isabelle Lajeunesse through a journalist named Sylvain Cormie.

Guy was a singer and songwriter who wrote several songs for numerous artistes including Chloe Sainte-Marie, Veronique Beliveau, Renee Martel, Gildor Roy, and Francine Raymond.
