American actress and former entertainment reporter, Francesca Cappucci has been reported dead. According to sources, she died after being diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic lung cancer in July 2022. She died on March 30, 2023; she was 64 years old.

As an entertainment reporter, she covered several shows for KABC-TV from 1984 to 1998 and interviewed some of the biggest personalities in the music industry including Rod Stewart, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, and more.
However, Cappucci’s career in the media industry started in the public affairs department at KIQQ-FM based in Los Angeles, where she hosted a public affairs interview show, anchored and worked on a morning drive program with Jay Coffey.

Her acting career also includes her portraying a reporter on several episodes of many tv shows including Columbo, The Colbys, 7th Heaven, The Practice and Charmed, and more. She also starred as a reporter in Beverly Hills Ninja (1997).
Aside from acting, she was also a good crew member who produced and co-wrote Not Me, a 2018 short film that starred Rudy Pankow. The film was played at several film festivals.
Tributes have been pouring in after the news of her death.

“Remembering Francesca Cappucci, her name itself a melody, who was a reporter for ABC in the 80s/90s and introduced me (and most of LA) to the world of music. Thanks for coming along, sharing a song, and making LA hum the same tune. LA lost a gift,” Jack Der-Sarkissian tweeted.
“RIP Francesca Cappucci, 64, KABC-TV’s entertainment reporter from 1984-98,” American journalist, Mike Barnes also wrote.
