The Ejisu seat was recently occupied by the late John Kumah who passed away on March 7, 2024, after battling a terminal disease.
Kwesi Nyantakyi is poised to win the Ejisu parliamentary seat on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party as they prepare towards the main parliamentary elections later in the year.

Kwesi Nyantakyi has reportedly been hospitalised at the Legacy Hospital at Asokore Mampong just a few hours to the governing party NPP’s Ejisu primary after suffering stomach pains due to a busy schedule.
According to reports, Kwesi Nyantakyi had a very busy day campaigning as was visiting delegates and was not able to get time to eat throughout the day, causing stomach pains.
Kwesi Nyantakyi is hoping to get well as soon as possible to be able to witness the Ejisu NPP primary as he hopes to venture into politics as his stained football executive career keeps haunting him.
