Filomena Tassi Early Life And Career
Tassi was born in 1962, in Hamilton, Canada, and grew up in a Catholic family.
Tassi has Italian roots and had attended the University of St. Michael’s College.
She later proceeded to Western University, Ontario, where she studied Law. After practising her legal career for six years, she enrolled for a programme in philosophy and religious education at the University of Waterloo.

She took up a job as chaplain at Bishop Tonnos Catholic Secondary School, until she was elected to the House of Commons.

Tassi is a liberalist representing Hamilton West—Ancaster—Dundas in the House of Commons.
She has been Minister of Public Services and Procurement and Receiver General for Canada; Minister of Labour; and the Minister of Seniors.
On August 31, 2022, Tassi was announced as the new Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
Although, she had requested to begin with a lighter workload due to pending family issues requiring her attention.
