Popular social media influencer and actress Precious Fella Makafui has been granted bail following her arrest for selling unregistered drugs from her shop in Mempeasem.

The arrest, which took place on May 22, 2024, was the result of a six-month surveillance operation conducted by investigative reporter Akwasi Koranteng of ISPYGH 247, in collaboration with the Pharmacy Council Ghana.
Makafui, the CEO of Simply Snatched Slimming Tea, was found selling various products, including fertility teas, enlargement syrups and oils, detox pearls, and sexual vitality teas, all marketed without approval from the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA).
During interrogation, Makafui admitted to selling non-FDA-registered drugs. She has since been granted bail pending further investigation.
The Pharmacy Council Ghana and ISPYGH 247 have promised to provide further updates as the case progresses.

Makafui’s arrest follows the recent detention of other social media influencers, such as Snapchat influencer Dulcie Boateng, in April 2024, by the Pharmacy Council in collaboration with Akwasi Koranteng.
The incident occurs amid Makafui’s publicized separation from her husband, Medikal. Medikal had previously claimed on Snapchat that Makafui underwent multiple cosmetic surgeries in Turkey and Nigeria while promoting her slimming products, sparking public outcry and calls for an FDA investigation.
