During the 2023-2024 season, the 20-year-old has scored six goals and provided 13 assists in 39 games. He has also created 32 “big chances,” the most in the English Championship this season with one game left to play.

Dressed in a traditional Ghanaian outfit, the former Steadfast FC player accepted the award, as reports continue to circulate about the possibility of him staying at Leicester City after his loan deal expires.

There are rumors of a €17 million deal in the works to sign him on a permanent basis from Sporting.

Issahaku’s significant contributions have been instrumental in helping Leicester City clinch the Championship title and secure automatic promotion to the English Premier League.

He provided an assist in Leicester City’s 3-0 win over Preston North End in the coronation game. In the lead-up to that victory on Monday, April 29, Issahaku scored his first hat-trick as a professional footballer in Leicester’s 5-0 demolition of Southampton.
