Reports indicate that Nwabali’s tenure at Chippa United is drawing to a close, with the Nigerian goalkeeper declining the opportunity to prolong his stay with the club. This decision has sparked interest from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise and Championship side Queens Park Rangers.

After his remarkable performance with Nigeria at the 2023 AFCON, where the West African country reached the final, Nwabali’s reputation soared significantly. His possible transfer became the central focus of Dauda’s communication.

Dauda and Nwabali were colleagues at Enyimba FC, a Nigerian Premier League club, during Dauda’s tenure with the team from 2016 to 2019.

In an X post, Dauda wrote “We used to share the same locker room in Aba Nigeria 2019, with the most successful club in Nigeria (Enyimba International football club) “The people’s Elephant” Keep on being a listener as always. Stanley Nwabali aka “BoBo” stay focus and keep pushing, I wish you all the best in your career.”
