Today marks World Wizkid day and fans of the popular musician have taken to social media to celebrate their favourite. The hashtag WorldWizkidDay is currently trending on all social media platforms.

In 2018, Mark Dayton, the governor of Minnesota USA, declared October 6 as ‘Wizkid Day’ an annual celebration to honour him for his achievement in the entertainment industry.

In 2019, Wizkid’s fans also set aside February 4th of every year to be the day to celebrate the Star Boy for his achievements in music. The Star Boy has enjoyed a lot of successes in the music industry as recently, he released his fourth studio album, Made In Lagos which have made a lot of strides in the industry.
Here are some achievements by Wizkid;
- He has recorded 2 Billboard hot 100 songs and the only Nigerian to debut of the Billboard Hot 100.
- First African artiste to bag 7 billboard nominations.
- Youngest African to get a Grammy nomination and the youngest African Artiste to get nominated for a Grammy award courtesy of the 2016 Drake album, Views.
