Ewen Jones (Former Townsville MP) net worth at death – The net worth of Ewen Jones, a well-respected federal Queensland MP and business identity who served six years as the federal member for Herbert, a seat encompassing the far north city of Townsville and Magnetic and Palm Islands, after being elected in 2010 is yet to be disclosed. Mr. Jones passed away on Thursday (July 13, 2023) after a long battle with cancer at the age of 63, a release from Opposition leader Peter Dutton’s office stated.

Mr. Jones’ daughter Emma confirmed the tragic news of her dad’s demise in a tweet that same morning.
“Ewen Jones passed away around 5am this morning, surrounded by family. He is at peace now. I am so lucky to have had him as my dad,” she tweeted.

Born on 7 March 1960, Mr. Jones won the division of Herbert in 2010, achieving a 2.05% swing against the Labor candidate, former Mayor of Townsville, Tony Mooney. Jones was a longtime resident of Townsville, Queensland.
He was Liberal Whip from 12 October 2015 until 9 May 2016.
Before entering politics, he worked as an auctioneer from 1990 to 2010 and in finance company sales from 1998 to 2001.
He also worked as a residential real estate consultant for two years until 2010.
He lost his seat to Labor MP Cathy O’Toole in 2016 by a slim minority of votes.
