and most recently “CODA” and “The Valet,” will undergo surgery after an accident left him in a “delicate” state, his wife, Mexican actress and singer Alessandra Rosaldo said to the press on Tuesday.

The injuries are non-life-threatening, she reassured fans.

“I want to inform you that a couple of days ago, Eugenio had an accident. He is fine, however, the injuries he suffered are delicate and in the next few hours he will have to undergo surgery,” Rosaldo said.

Without mentioning details of the accident or the injuries, or where he is currently hospitalized, Rosaldo pointed out that because the operation is delicate and “complicated,” the actor’s recovery will be “long and difficult since he will have to rest for several weeks and then undergo rehabilitation therapies,” she said.
