Eros signed his first deal with the Italian label DDD (Drogueria di Drugolo) in the early 1980s, following which he relocated to Milan with his brother Marco and mother Raffaella.

Eros, his brother Marco, and his mother Raffaella resided in the same building as the record label company at first.

Ramazzotti competed in the Voci Nuove di Castrocaro (New Voices of Castrocaro Terme) music contest in 1981 with the song “Rock 80,” which he wrote, and performed in front of numerous record label representatives.

Although Zucchero and Fiordaliso won the competition, Ramazzotti made it to the finals and gained two votes from Roberto Galanti and Baron Lando Lanni, who represented the newly founded Italian label DDD (Drogueria di Drugolo). Eros received his first deal from DDD.

Marco Ramazzotti is currently employed by Panorama Records, an independent record label created in Milan in 2004 by Eros’ manager, Roberto Galante.
