Erica Gimpel Parents: Meet Joseph Gimpel and Phyllis Bash

Erica Gimpel was born on June 25, 1964, in New York City, New York to a family of artists. Her birth name is Erica Fawn Gimpel.

Her father, Joseph Gimpel is an actor, singer and short story writer by profession. Also, her mother, Phyllis Bash is a concert singer. They first met in a studio and fell in love. They later got married in the early 60s.

As a child, she travelled to the United States and Europe along with her mother. At the time, her mother used to perform the play Porgy and Bess.

Inspired by the environment around her, she decided to be an actress when she was 7. To pursue acting, she joined the High School of Performing Arts in New York. In 1982, she graduated from the school.
