Eric Kay Sentence: How Many Years Has Eric Kay Been Sentenced?

Former L.A. Angels employee, Eric Kay was sentenced to 22 years in prison.

Kay had allegedly offered Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs the drugs that led to his overdose death in 2019.

After he was convicted, Kay had also made derogatory remarks about Skaggs, his family, the prosecutors and jurors via phone calls and emails.

Skaggs, 27, was reportedly choked to death in his vomit. Further investigations revealed that a toxic mix of alcohol, fentanyl and oxycodone in his blood.

Five major league players had testified against Kay in court, disclosing that he had offered them oxycodone pills on several occasions, even at the stadium.

Prosecutors added that the substance given to Skaggs was counterfeit oxycodone pills that contained fentanyl.

Skaggs was a left-handed baseball pitcher who played for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Angels until his death.
