Journalist and renowned media critic Eric Boehlert has died after being involved in a bicycle accident on the 4th of April, 2022. The tragic accident occurred one night after he was struck by a train in Montclair, while on his bike.

Boehlert’s wife Tracy confirmed to The US Sun. He died at the age of 57.
Tracy described her husband as the ”kindest, most generous and one of the coolest guys you will ever meet.” Boehlert was a frequent bicyclist and runner.

Tracy said her husband was biking, enjoying the warm weather when the tragedy happened.
Boehlert was a renowned media critic, writer, and founder of the Press Run Newsletter, with a mission of delivering ”unfiltered, passionate, and proudly progressive critique of the political press.
Boehlert was remembered by broadcast journalist Soledad O’Brien as ”a fierce and fearless defender of the truth. Eric is hailed for his progressive journalism and for exposing misinformation.
His death was mourned by journalists, media critics, politicians, and admirers.
