Professional English Football Player, Jesse Lingard, has been added to the list of celebrities who are massively jamming to the global tune ‘Essence’ by Nigerian Grammy Award winner, Wizkid featuring Tems.

Lingard adds to the list of top celebrities like Justin Bieber, Ciara, Russell Wilson and more. ‘Essence’ is by far the most recognized African song this year. It has topped several music charts including US Apple Music Chart after it acquired the No. 9 spot a while ago; becoming the only African song to achieve that milestone.

The song is by far the most streamed Afrobeat song this year, which comes from the Made In Lagos album- also the most streamed African album ever released on Spotify. In regards to the Made In Lagos album, Wizkid became the first African artiste to sell out O2 Arena in London under fifteen (15) minutes for the album’s tour.
