Emmanuel Tumusiime-Mutebile was a Ugandan economist and banker who served as the governor of the central bank of the Bank of Uganda for over two decades. Emmanuel Tumusiime-Mutebile was the governor of the Bank of Uganda from 2001 till his unfortunate death in 2022.

Emmanuel Tumusiime-Mutebile was an alumnus of Kigezi College Butobere, Makerere College School, Durham University, Balliol College, and the University of Dar es Salaam. Emmanuel Tumusiime-Mutebile was a very great man who was also lectured in addition to his banking career.

Emmanuel Tumusiime-Mutebile was born on January 27, 1949, and died on January 23, 2022, at a hospital in Nairobi, Kenya at the age of 72 years. As of now, the actual cause of the death of Emmanuel Tumusiime-Mutebile has not been revealed.

Nevertheless, Emmanuel Tumusiime-Mutebile suffered from diabetes-related complications prior to his death. Emmanuel Tumusiime-Mutebile is survived by his wife, Betty Mutebile, and his son, Duncan Tumusiime.
