She was recently promoted to Health and Science Editor and was looking forward to the new challenges.
Emily recently published her latest story of Lithuanian clinics responding to patients on NHS and private waiting lists before her death.
The story was welcome by her 8,000 followers for highlighting those who had traveled to consult doctors in other countries.
Emily was very proud of her job, but her family, especially her two young daughters, was her pride and joy.
She informed numerous ITV colleagues that she wanted to be remembered as a mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend, not as a journalist.
